“Revival of Five Elements” indicates that the cycle of life is based on the true spirits in five elements – with true spirits the truth will be everlasting, and with everlasting truth the life cycles from generation to generation. In the universe, there is one out of none, then there is two, and three, and all beings come from the three – also known as the “immensity”. Beauty lies in immensity; exploring the truth and eternity through the thoughts across the immense space.
“Reliance” - two pieces of forged stainless steel, golden and silver in color, resembling human bodies as well as flames. From afar, the two pieces join together, like open palms and also like hair dancing in the wind. Such a figure that joins separation and combination altogether is the very comprehension and concept of nature.
The creation “Turning the Tide” looks like two men wrestling. Block structure in the surface adds strength into the embodiment in the figure; those dents that are deliberately made, surprisingly, contain more strength in the condensation. Whether it’s like standing on one leg, raising hands and kicking, or the wrestle between the two figures, it has presented quite a show of martial art.
“Still · Thoughts” is a piece with closer integration of Yin and Yang. It’s in fact two simple pieces of curved slabs, but the curve of bends inspires the image of human body – there are the shoulders, chest, waist and legs; the more curled piece resembles a girl who lowers her head and whispers in a tender and charming manner. By placing the two pieces differently, the creation produces various inspiring images and indications.
“Sublimation” - with the concept of "four symbols produced from two polarities", it structures a virtual space of unreality and reality within Taiji. The dual spiral columns, standing tall, symbolize solid base with organic "reality" and endless transformation and sumblimation with superorganic "unreality".
