Zhang Hong, born in Yuhuan County of Zhejiang Province, is a member of China Photographers Association. He runs Zhanghong Photography Art Studios both in Hangzhou and Taizhou. In his trilogy My Sea, he shows specifically and abstractively the spirit, thought and soul of sea without giving the sea directly. In detail, in his first part Wooden Fishing Boat without Sea, he presents the image of spirit; he focuses on the emotional expression of fishing boat without the sea, highlights and magnifies the details of incomplete objects, thus bringing people spiritual enjoyment; the second part Icy Soul of Beach shows the soul Nirvana; he seeks the circle of life to-and-fro between beach and glacier, digs out the elements with a strong sense of form and abstracts the Gestalt of art from specific objects to purify people’s soul; then in the third part Fissile Reef, he embodies the infinite thought; he can discover the images in cracks of reef with life beauty but always being neglected by people with an artist’s heart and eye and enlightens people that the cracks of reef are just of the sea. In all, the trilogy will make you be deeply shocked in emotion, mind and heart and exclaim. He has made the mundane magical.
