Xinjiang offers inexhaustible creation resources to artists and has been a place inspiring artists since ancient time. It’s abundant, unique natural landscape and cultural resources will open a new creation world for artists who may enter into a fresh artistic state.
Twenty young artists, who are at their peak stage of art creation, with innovative ideas and exploring spirit, were invited by Culture Department of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to sketch from nature in Xinjiang from June to August of 2013. A complete new Xinjiang will be presented with perspective and painting brush of these artists-Dai Pingjun, Ji Shaobo, Hang Kang, Lin Jinfu, Li Huaqi, Ma Jinghu, Peng Hui, Peng Si, Shi Xinji, Ta Ke, Tang Shi, Wang Bo, Wang Haiyang, Xu Fan, Xiao Se, Xue Kun, Zhang Cheng, Zhang Dali, Zhang Xianfei, Zhang Jianpeng and Tian Zi. The exhibition aims at promoting cultural image, integrating cultural resources, showcasing natural and human features of Xinjiang and enhancing relationship between Xinjiang and inland, even international community. In addition, taking this opportunity of sketching in Xinjiang, young artists can make some breakthrough in art and establish their new styles.
