This exhibition is curated by Jean-Louis Froment, a well-known figure in the contemporary art and design worlds. From the foundation to heritage, from Mademoiselle Chanel to Karl Lagerfeld, the House of CHANEL is perpetuated in leading the modern esprit and style.
Perfectly revealing the codes and elements of the language of CHANEL, “CULTURE CHANEL” has been developed around five themes: Origin, Abstraction, Invisibility, Liberty and Imaginary.
Through her relationships with the greatest creators of her time, Mademoiselle Chanel was part of a real community of artistic inspiration, in which could be found Picasso and Dali, Cocteau and Reverdy, Stravinsky and Diaghilev.
With more than 400 works coming from public and private collections, which altogether display the historical and creative dimensions and the modernity of CHANEL.
