This exhibition totally exhibits Zheng Xinquan’s 40 new works, which intensively reflects artist’s creation spirit and direction. As domestic famous mid-life oil painter, Zhang Xinquan’s creation always has certain obvious relation to Chinese modern history. Artist’s creation is not a realistic reappearance of history but is a new acquaintance generated upon this explanation. In detailed action, he tries to gain certain dynamic balance between realistic expression of details and expressionism to reflect self “historic conception”. At the beginning of 2007, he used expressive arts way to point out more possibilities instead of being limited by detailed narrative or visual expression. He uses series “landscape” created by him after 2009 to exhibit historic transition with interaction of people and times, feel a consistent freedom of heart and painting with relaxed emotion and enjoy unbridled and carefree blandness.
