The opening of the Colorful Painting World will be held in Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy on 2ed June 2010 and the exhibition will last to 21stJune. The exhibition which is organized by Beijing Fine Art Academy is the third exhibition of Series Exhibitions of 20th Century Chinese Art Masters in 2010, the exhibition is organized by Beijing Fine Art Academy and sponsored by The Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Central Research Institute of Literature and History，China Artists Association, Beijing Fine Art Academy, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University, China Art and Literary Association of Hai Dian District of Beijing.
 
This is a grand solo retrospective exhibition of Tian Shiguang included about sixty paintings created in different periods of 20th century, for some of these paintings this is the first time they meet the audiences. The exhibition conveys the achievement of bird and flower fine brushworks in 20th century and also the art characteristic of Tian Shiguang. Inherited the fine brushworks tradition of Song and Yuan Destiny and combined his time spirit, Tian Shiguang lighten the genre of painting which was dim for a long time. Among the great elaborated paintings Tian had left to us, there are a lot of paintings collected by the government and diplomatic institutions etc. To have a comprehensive describe of Tian’s oeuvre character, Beijing Fine Art Academy and the descendants of Tian cooperate to borrow paintings from different places, we also would like to recommend the landscape paintings of the artist on view which conveys the positive influence of Tian’s flower and bird paintings.
