While getting a wider and wider recognition over the past decades, comic strips have imposed - in the French speaking world especially - as one of the most popular and universal artistic languages.
Within the 2011 edition of the Francophone festival, the opportunity is given to present an overview of the Francophone comics through this exhibition.
With the support of the Belgian Comic Strip Center, this exhibition - specially created for the celebrations of the XIIIth Francophonie Summit in Montreux in 2010 - aims at presenting some of the most interesting Francophone cartoonists from all over the world.
The exhibition revisits the realities, aspirations and projects of the Francophonie, in fields such as cultural diversity, gender equity, sustainable development or human rights, to help us understand what Francophonie really is.
