Asia Art Archive is pleased to present a fundraising auction of 80 generously donated works of art from local and international artists and galleries with Van Cleef and Arpels as lead sponsor for two consecutive years. A preview of the artworks will be exhibited at the Christie’s Hong Kong offices from 11-14 November, and the accompanying dinner and auction will follow on 15 November at the China Club. Bids can be placed online via Paddle8 from 5-14 November in advance of the live auction on 15 November where only phone and absentee bids will be accepted. To view the auction catalogue, and to find out more about how to bid, go to www.aaa.org.hk/AnnualFundraiser or contact fundraiser@aaa.org.hk.
Asia Art Archive is an independent non-profit organisation initiated in 2000 in response to the urgent need to document and make accessible the multiple recent histories of art in the region. With an international Board of Directors, an Advisory Board made up of noted scholars and curators, and an in-house research team, AAA has collated one of the most valuable collections of material on contemporary art in the region—open to the public free of charge and increasingly accessible from its website. More than a static repository waiting to be discovered, AAA instigates critical thinking and dialogue for a wide range of audiences via public, research, residential, and educational programmes.
As a registered Hong Kong charity, AAA relies on the support of government agencies, corporations, and individuals to fund its activities. In addition to these sources, the annual fundraiser is an essential part of sustaining the organisation as the contributions directly impact the mission and work of the Archive.
