The works of 20 finalists, plus selected entries from over 160 applications received, will be on exhibition and available for purchase until Sunday 2nd June 2013.
Jims Lam Chi Hang, the winner of the prestigious Hong Kong Art Prize 2013 was awarded the HK$80,000 prize for his work “Beacon, Sheung Wan Hours – 01.05”.
This year’s jury panel included Professor Frank Vigneron, Chinese University of Hong Kong; Alan Chan, renowned designer and collector; Mimi Brown, founder and director of Spring Workshop; Professor Peter Benz, Hong Kong Baptist University; Tobias Berger, Managing Curator of M+ Museum; Kai Yin Lo, respected art and cultural consultant; Hing Chao, recognized arts columnist and chairman and founder of Earthpulse Foundation; and, Professor Richard Krepel, Professor of Illustration SCAD Hong Kong.
