Asia Top Gallery Hotel Art Fair
Date: 25 Feb - 27 Feb 2011

According to Asia Art Net, whose goal is to unify the Asian art world by holding AHAF events through a tour of the most important Asian cities, the 5th AHAF will be held in Hong Kong in 2011. Hong Kong is a unique and special area in China, with duty-free shopping as one of its primary attractions. It has aspired to be a new Mecca for contemporary art through the opening of many art fairs and auctions. Moreover, the Mandarin Oriental features magnificent views of Hong Kong's renowned Victoria Harbor and the Central District. It is very centrally located in the heart of the most prestigious and fashionable financial and shopping district in Hong Kong. The hotel is within easy access to transportation a big convenience for visitors to the Art Fair. The hotel is very experience in working with prestigious exhibition especially relating to life style for example the hotel housed many well known wine auctions including Christie’s and Zachy, so it is very familiar to art collectors.

The goal for AHAF HK 2011 is to revitalize and exchange the Asian art market and fosters emerging artists from Asia and especially Korean artists.

Compared to the general art fair exhibition at the White Cube, this exhibition using hotel rooms will offer a unique pleasure, with paintings put on the bed, sculptures installed in the bathtub, and so on. In addition, this new display concept will give the consumers who want to buy artwork, an excellent simulation that will let them imagine their own rooms displaying the paintings.

There will be a great exhibition featuring about 3000 works of art during over three days with more than 60 participating galleries from Korea, China, and Japan. In addition, a docent tour program and lectures from art columnists will be prepared for VIP costumers. You can enjoy this contemporary art tour to the fullest at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong Hotel.
