Central and Sheung Wan district has been developing rapidly, thus shaping the street culture and urban life into a cultural blend of old and new.

To encourage the public and local teenagers to better understand and appreciate local culture, the Visual Arts Education and Community Development Project (VAECD) of the Hong Kong Institute of Education  provides funding to the Visual Arts staff and students from the Institute and collaborates with HULU Culture to hold the Old Shops Arts Exhibitions, starting from 4 July, 2010 to 20 July, 2010.

The exhibition will be held in 5 old shops in Central and Sheung Wan, which are Chu Wing Kee, Fukien Tea Co., Chiu Kee Paper Craft, Kung Lee Sugarcane Juice and Yung Lee Hong. This exhibition will be showing 16 artworks, blending traditions and creativity, crafting a new and old Hong Kong story.
