Graduated from the UP College of Fine Arts in 2000. He has participated in international residency programs at the Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito, California, the International Studio and Curatorial Program in New York City, and the Fukouka Art Museum. He teaches at the Philippine High School for the Arts, where he studied, and became a member of the ANINO Shadowplay Collective. With members of ANINO, Don represented the country in the 3rd Kircudbright International Arts Festival in Scotland in 2007, and received the Silver Award of Excellence at the 1st Marionette Festival in Hanoi, Vietnam. Independently, his works have been awarded the Special Jury Prize Award and Voice Award at the Singapore Short Film Festival in 2006. As a painter and digital animator, he has exhibited his works in museums and galleries locally and abroad. Don lives in Mandaluyong City with his wife and two kids.
