New paintings by Lorna Brown Napanangka presented in conjunction with Papunya Tula Artists PTY Ltd.

The artist paints the country of her ancestors around Mt. Liebig, Haasts Bluff and Papunya. She depicts the magnificent sand lines formed by the wind; the rich ochre outcrops; deep-hued haze from the hot sun which engulfs the greens of desert oaks; and the rocks and waterholes where women camp at special sites gathering food for ceremony and sustenance. Her country of mulgas and golden spinifex is a direct index of the spiritual presence and journey of this exciting artist.
