Sovan Kumar, the young artist of India was born in Bhubaneswar, Orissa in 1969. He did his BFA from B.K. College of Arts, Bhubaneswar in 1992 and MFA from Banaras Hindu University in 1995. He also has the credit to have an Advance Course from the “Central Academy of Fine Art and Design” Beijing, P.R. China in the year 1998. The very first exhibition he has held was in 1987 at the Annual Art Exhibition, B.K.College of Arts, Bhubaneswar. Since then it is tireless journey for him to exhibiting his paintings and sculptors throughout India and abroad till date. He has also participated in many National & International camps and has been awarded with many Awards and Scholarships.. The artist lives and works in Orissa.
