The artist has done his B.F.A & M.F.A in sculpture from Viswa Bharati University, Santiniketan. He has held many shows in significant galleries in the country & abroad.
The artist has been awarded National Scholarship, Ministry of Sculpture, Govt. of India in 1978, Birla Academi of Arts and Culture at the Annual Exhibition of Art in 1980, Awarded Fellowship from Lalit Kala Academi, to work at Garhi Studios, New Delhi in 1981 and All India Sculptors’ Competition Award in 1988.

He lives & works in New Delhi.
