The work is made up of a set of books (hardback volumes), each scooped out in the centre creating concave depressions – crater like forms that recall topographical formations. My process physically reorganizes the structure and function of the printed tomes and creates new meanings, both deliberate and coincidental. Among my intentions is to experiment with the context of ‘overwriting’ and ‘deconstructing’ text to a point where it takes on an abstract quality.
