We no longer live in a world of saints. All saints have gone into history. We know about them through reading, researching and believing. Whether we believe in a religion or not, we like saints and the ways in which they enriched the world. But now we live in a world without saints.

Can I be a saint? Yes, I am a saint because like the saints I have my own religion; that is creativity and art. I don’t follow any other religion than art. I am the founder of my own path; that is my art. It has the best of all what has gone by and what is yet to come. I am the seer of the world. May be you don’t accept my claims. But I am one. I don’t even assert because saints don’t assert, they just be.

The current exhibition project is an attempt to seek answers to these questions through visual aesthetics by nine of India’s most powerful contemporary artists.
