Aicon Gallery New York is delighted to be working in collaboration with the Indo-American Arts Council (IAAC) for its inaugural fine art benefit auction. For the first time, Aicon Gallery and the IAAC will be placing works by M. F. Husain, F. N. Souza, Bose Krishnamachari, and many others under the hammer. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will go directly to the IAAC to benefit their relentless efforts to promote awareness of Indian and cross-cultural art in all forms in North America. Works by modern masters from India's Progressive Artist's Group as well as some of the stars of the Indian contemporary art scene will comprise a collection valued in today's market at over $100,000. However, to bolster support and excitement for the inaugural sale, we will be offering these works without a reserve, so bidders may be able to take home works for well under their market value.
