In PETAL WORD, Shia Yih Yiing’s sixth solo and second solo with Shalini Ganendra Fine Art, Shia presents a series of commemorative flower paintings, on canvas and paper,  as part of a greater installation that engages viewer with image, word and participation.

The stunning large canvas works, Blooms, each measuring 250 x 200cm, oil on loose canvas, were executed in 2005 and form the basis for the development of this show.   They are joined by large watercolour works on specially selected and aged paper.
