SGFA will host a dynamic exhibition on renowned architect and designer, Charlotte Perriand, as part of the French Arts Festival. Furnishings designed by Perriand and images,   will be on view at the Gallery.

Charlotte Perriand (1903 – 1999), a pioneer of interior architecture, introduced the concept of ‘ fitting-out  adapted to the used’, at a time when decorative art had become an institution  and w here the setting imposed its luxury in daily life. 

Collaborating with famed architect Le Corbusier, she stayed in Japan for several  years , a country which  at that time was unknown to most. There she built a dogma which become a life long guide – the “ volumetry of the space”.
