"Unmarked" by Murali Cheeroth
by Viart Gallery
Location: Viart Gallery
Date: 30 Jan - 5 Feb 2009

Preview 30th Jan- 5th Feb
New Delhi -- Milan

Murali’s concerns have taken him through these avenues consistently and he has articulated himself through three or four bodies of work completely dedicated to the issues of changing Indian metropolis and thereby, has tried to relocate himself in the midst of all the on-goings. These on-goings relate to both, his engagement with world as an experience, as well as to the art world with its available expressions via media-generated images. The series of his paintings titled ‘Mise en scene (2007)’ speaks precisely of these changes; while his subsequent works-‘Unmarked(2008)’ come forth with an altered focus. Both try to build a model for viewing the present/ futuristic projections of the world….
