The Drawing Room presents Japanese artist Nobuhiko Terasawa’s first solo exhibition in the Philippines. The series presented in our Manila space is an extension of his foray on silver as a color of near-disappearance. Images are surface in the small irregularities of the strips of silver paint and graphite, almost non-existent to the regular gaze. Arise From Silver forms not the portraits that we can find between the absences of paint. Rather, they motion to feelings hovering within the horizon that divides the present and memories of an inexperienced past.
