Heirloom is a series of sculptures assembled from certain found objects that carry an aura of personal history and naturally occurring residues. This pool includes such things like fine bone china, remade jewelries, deer horns and ostrich eggs. The use of these particular disembodied objects questions the status of heirlooms how personal history and value continue to shape them in the absence of their owners. This will be Miguel Aquilizan's first solo exhibition.
