Chen Jiagang was born in 1962, Chong Qing, Si Chuan province. Introduced by large-scale images, realized with the help of the biggest negatives and cameras in the world, Diseased Cities, his last work, presents a series of photographs depicting the human and environmental landscape around the Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric power station completed between 2006 and 2009.

An internationally well-known artist, Chen Jiagang has participated to numerous exhibition worldwide, from Daegu Biennale to the florida Museum of Photographic Arts. His works are part of the most prestigious public collections such as AT&T in the USA or the Deutsch Bank in germany.
