Art Fair TOKYO 2013
by Yoshimi Arts
Location: Tokyo International Forum, Exhibition Hall
Artist(s): Keigo KAMIDE
Date: 22 Mar - 24 Mar 2013

Yoshimi Arts is pleased to announce that we will participate in ART FAIR TOKYO following last year. We have the solo exhibition “Yukoku” by Keigo Kamide.
Keigo Kamide is the sixth heir of Kamide Choemon-gama, Kutani ware kiln which has over 130 years of history. He directs the products of Kamide Choemon-gama, collaborates with Jaime Hayon, who is a world famous designer, together with MARUWAKA-YA, and he exhibits the art works by “Keigo Kamide”, such as the work “Banana” made of porcelain.
He has performed on many fields. Keigo Kamide understands the things related to Kutani ware comprehensively, sets the seriousness of history about Kutani ware aside, frees from the losing substance, and tries to reproduce that we can feel it rich and flesh. At AFT, he will exhibit a new work of Candy Jar “The Skull” by Kamide Choemon-gama + MARUWAKA-YA (the same work was decided to be added to the collection of 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa).
And, you will be able to enjoy looking at the reborn style of “Large dish with Design of Flowers” by Kamide Choemon-gama / Keigo Kamide, which was exhibited in the condition of being broken as installation art at his solo exhibition “Yukoku(isolated)”, 2011 Yoshimi Arts. Then, we will have his solo exhibition “Yukoku(Floating)” at Yoshimi Arts in April.
