Johyun Gallery Busan is pleased to a solo exhibition by well-known Australian artist Ken Done. The new exhibition after 13 years will show original paintings and edition works separately.
His works are inspired by nature in Australia and these lifelike painting with bright colors reflect on own images of Australia so that he is called as the representative artist of the country.
The exhibition will introduce 16 paintings and 14 prints in terms of new works. His early work 'the cabin garden' series presents simplified figure of object and strong and raw colors. New works, 'some flowers for the fruit bowl,' 'viridian sea garden,' and 'night dive,' express beautiful nature in Australia in his own ways. Free and unshaped line, and a harmony of complementary color contrast raise the liveliness and a feast of colors reveal vitality of nature clearly. Especially, his abstraction in recent works emphasizes autonomy of painting. Freely drawn works with dreamlike atmosphere attract the viewers.
