Johyun Gallery Busan is pleased to announce Kim Jong Hak Solo Exhibition in summer. There are three noticeable factors to better understand his real worth.

First, it is the love for his children, the root of endless energy for artworks. After divorced, he has sent letters for 25years with his concerns, tenderness and advice to his children. Except artworks, he said the hardest working he has done was writing letters to his daughter and son, which shows his longing and love for children and reflects deep inside the mind.

Second, Kim shows affection for antiques. At first, he started to fill the void, but realized superiority of Oriental arts, and it affected on his arts. In this exhibition, he shows his antique collection, such as an old square table he prizes most. He also works various collaborated works that painting on old obscure artists' art pieces, and these works show his own wit.

Last, the world of his arts has been changed to be abstracted and simplified. Kim's most popular series is 'flowers in Mt.Seolak'. Now he draws flowers as making them more abstract objet, and it releases powerful energy.  

Kim became famous as painting a beauty of nature, but in 1960, he was absorbed in abstractionism. And now, he gathers both of expressions and steps into a new stage.
