Working in different categories of art, painting, sculpture and installation, Heo Wook presents the solo exhibition at Soheon Contemporary.

With the theme 'Support-Supported,' he pursues maximization of spatiality. His new works consist of sides and boundaries created by dividing lines and disordered curves. Abstractly expressed side, line and color give a feeling of moderation beauty.

His 'sculpture-like painting, painting-like sculpture' with unique formative language has constantly got a great attention internationally. Also, Heo Wook has held collaborations with National Museum of Modern and Contemporary art Korea, Gwangju Biennale, Young Eun Museum and etc.

'Whatever it is painting or sculpture, my work is based on module. Also, audiences focus on the side of the sculpture through disassembly but I see the boundary. To reveal this, disassembling is my main work. The new works also show composition of color and minimalism on a process of disassembly. They do not become the completed image but have intuition of working process.', the artist said.
