Hideki Kimura has been renown as a curator and a professor as well as the leading artist in contemporary print since 1970s. As the professor at Kyoto Saga University of Arts from 1974, and Kyoto City University of Arts since 1995, Kimura has found many talented artists who currently actively work.
To commemorate his retirement, Kimura and his friend and critic, Miwaki Yasuo curate the new exhibition. Selected artists among Kimura's former students by Yasuo have studied under Kimura and developed their own techniques which were affected by him.
