Bangkok – Teo + Namfah (www.teonamfahgallery.com) is pleased to announce the upcoming The Silence of Healing at the Edge of the World, an exhibition by one of Mongolia’s top contemporary artists, Jalkhaajav Munkhtsetseg (who is known by the name Mugi) in her first international solo exhibition.

The exhibition will be held at residential property developer Raimon Land’s exclusive River Promenade, located at the prestigious new riverfront development “The River”. An opening reception with the artist and a Mongolian band will be held on Friday, May 22nd at 7pm.

The exhibition features paintings, works on paper, collage, and soft sculpture. Mugi is inspired by the female body and its power. Her work also reflects her childhood experiences, traditional Mongolian medicine, the wisdom of folk tales and legends, as well as the healing power of nature.

Among the most important symbols in her art are traditional Mongolian hairstyles, which remind her of the flowing sand dunes of the Gobi Desert and the flight of birds, and traditional dress.
