The show will be displayed at the above times.
We are looking forward to your visit.
As always, we will display Fukahori’s most popular work " Kingyo sake, " which depicts a very life-like goldfish swimming amidst water grass in a wooden Japanese sake measure, other paintings that show his typical elegant brush work will also be displayed. In addition, new artworks of Fukahori will be displayed. These art composed of branches and twigs which Fukahori has collected from nearby forests.
Fukahori explains the reason he has created the new artworks is to bring out a hidden goldfish from a tree. He feels there is a connection between the forest and the sea because a tree has water inside and and the forest has many ponds and rivers. Using this connection, Fukahori can find a unique fish living in each each and every tree. When he sees fallen branches or twigs , he imagines a gold fish hidden inside and he would like to help others see this also.
We are sure Fukahori’s new artworks will make you feel the same love for goldfish he has.
