Gallery Shirakawa is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Takayasu Jun. Selected works from the exhibition at Gifu collection of Modern Arts as well as new acrylic paintings and collages will be on view. 

I cannot hear anything since I was born. Thus I don't know what sound is, but I can feel vibration. Before learning language, I already started drawing. I'm in silence without any sounds of winds, wave or a bird, but the only thing I could do is feeling the colorful world by my eyes. So I thought abstract painting to emphasize colors would be the best. I focus on colors rather than form. Like a poet looking for the world of beauty that you never saw, I want to tell happiness and deliver hope through this beautiful harmony.
