Soliloquy is one man's conversation with nature. It speaks of journeys taken, places uncovered, and growth renewed.
The exhibition is the result of documentary photographer Terence Teo's soul-searching trip through Japan in 2010. Tired of the seemingly never-ending natural disasters he covered from the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami to the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake, Terence sought and found a different side of nature in the varied landscapes of Japan.
The images in the show encourage a quiet contemplation on the part of the viewer. One is invited to step into an empty Eden and explore the beauty and majesty of landscapes unsullied by man's instrusion. Even in the one photo with a human presence - the photographer's own - he is but a passing image, blurred and gone again.
