Sequential Arts: A Comic Art Exhibition will feature work of two noted and established comic illustrators and artists: Sonny Liew (a 2010 Singapore Young Artist Award Winner) and Koh Hong Teng (a recipient of National Arts Council’s Arts Creation Fund 2011). At their previous exhibition Lucky Plazas (2009), their canvas paintings portray similarity in style and subject matter. Having had extensive experience with comic book illustrations, Sonny and Hong Teng both exhibit a strong control over lines and an easy familiarity with the tropes of graphic art and novels.

In conjunction with this exhibition and the Singapore Writers’ Festivals, Mulan Gallery will officially launch Gone Case: A Graphic Novel Book 2; and feature Malinky Robot: Collected Stories & Other Bits at Mulan Gallery on 21 October 2011.

Mulan Gallery will also showcase a number of collectible Original Comic Pages from these two comic books and 1‐2 canvas paintings from each artist.
