Katrin Forster is a German-born artist who has traveled widely while living and working in various parts of the world from Kuwait to Argentina, the USA, Malaysia and Europe. She received her training in Act, Figure, Portrait and Still-Life at the Paulwitz-Mathaei School in Hamburg, Germany. Katrin’s works have been shown at various group and solo exhibitions in Germany and Malaysia.

Her artistic sensibility stems from her contact with flora and fauna in different countries and places she has visited. Her brushwork is reminiscent of impressionism but her works also embody the glossy finish of photo realism. The evocativeness of the paintings arises from the sensitive use of colour.
