Kamol Tamseewan is among the most brightly talented artist emerging from his generation. Coming from a humble farming village, young Kamol was deeply inspired by portraitures of his family and friends. He spend enormous amount of time sketching and interviewing each of them before transferring this mass amount of output onto gigantic size canvases some as tall as 2.5 metres high. And the end results are stunning works of art using medium ranging from oil to enamel paint.
Each of Kamol portraitures puts him on the fine line between abstract and traditional portrait painter
where by the artist attacks the canvas, by dragging and dropping paint precisely onto the canvas, a step too close the viewer might mistaken it as a abstract painting and only by playing with the distance will the viewer realise how the explosive colours are contrasting each other just like how the way the each of his brush strokes contemplates his other.
