“LIFE MOMENTS – BLISS” SOLO EXHIBITION BY ANG PING PING - April 9-26, 2009

Ang Ping Ping, one of Singapore’s promising emerging artists, will be holding her first solo exhibition “Life Moments – Bliss”, this April at fill-your-walls, an art gallery dedicated to promoting affordable art by emerging local artists.

Seeking to bring joy and happiness through her series of child-like themed paintings inspired by her own 16-month old baby boy, the centerpiece of the exhibition is The Unicorn, a playful and lively collage in sweet pink and white with colourful circles.
Her unique style of working layers with multi components into her two dimensional visual works of art carries through in her portrayal of women in a series of contemporary artworks, which will also be featured as part of the exhibition.

Life Moments – Bliss by Ang Ping Ping runs from April 9 till April 26 2009 at the fill-your-walls gallery, which is located at 21 Tanjong Pagar Road #04-02. The exhibition is open from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm daily except Wednesdays and Public Holidays. Admission is free.

About the artist
Ang Ping Ping graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore in 1996. Having had an affinity for art since young, Ping Ping believes that art is about expression and exploration, making it a passion that encompasses everything and anything. Her creations often examines social issues – about human evolution, structural growth and how they interact with nature. She has been awarded recognitions from the Philip Morris ASEAN Art Competition and Singapore Art Exhibition.
