Chen Yong Jun is a well-learned man with vast interest in history, culture and fine arts. During 1970 to 1980s, when he was still in his teens, he traveled to Singapore and Malaysia to experience these nations' richness and he was greatly touched by these nations’ cultures. At the age of 25, Chen graduated from the Sze Chuan Arts School and became a professional artist. His forte lies in painting the vanishing trades in Singapore, the scenes he has seen since young.
