iPreciation is pleased to present a second solo exhibition of Singapore artist Lee Wen from 28th October to 21st November 2015. Following up on his previous solo exhibition at Art Basel Hong Kong 2014, this exhibition will feature newly developed photographs taken from Lee’s performances “Desire” and “Handmade Tales”, paintings which date back to the high times of Artist Village group and latest series of works on paper.
This exhibition will form a retrospect viewing of Lee’s artistic concerns and its developments throughout the past twenty-five years. The paintings “Crucifixion” and “Hard Rain” date back to early 1990 and reflect Lee’s performative gestures onto the medium of painting, expressive and full of personal narratives. The latest works on paper are more abstract in their nature, delicate and brilliantly colored, expose a very intimate side of Lee’s practice and his love for drawing. With variety of works and themes covered in this exhibition, it proves once again why Lee Wen is considered as the true pioneer of contemporary and performance art in Singapore.

After leaving a banking career to enroll at LASALLE College of the Arts, Lee graduated with a Masters of Fine Art in 2006.
