Tse Yim On (b. 1974), lives and works in Hong Kong. Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the Department of Fine Arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1998, and pursued his Master Degree (MFA) in 2001.

Tse was the recipent of the Hong Kong Urban Council Award at the age of 24. The artist has been appointed Arts Advisor to the Hong Kong Arts Development Council from 2002 to 2006, acting as an Examiner at the same institution from 2002 - 2008. Tse took up a posting as a lecturer at the Beijing Normal University - Zhuhai Campus in 2004, as well as guest instructor for the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre and Hong Kong Heritage Museum.

Tse has already been the subject of several exhibitions within Hong Kong, and his works have been included in exhibitions such as ARTscope Hong Kong (2000) in Spica Museum, Tokyo, Korea International Art Fair (2007) in COEX Exhibition and Convention Centre, Seoul, Art Taipei 2 (2007) in former Taipei World Trade Centre II, Taiwan, The Pivotal Decade: Hong Kong Art 1997-2007 (2008) in Chinese Arts Centre, Manchester and Octopus (2011) in Hanina Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv. His works have been collected by the Hong Kong Museum of Art and private collectors worldwide.

Tse Yim On is a research-based artist who devotes his time in developing his concepts rigorously. As such, the capacity of Tse’s works is contained to just a selective few each year.
