A solo exhibition featuring 45 works, Pure Satire features most recent work created by Maleonn in China and Europe. Known for his colourful theatrical approach using props and actors, Maleonn is one of the most prominent contemporary photographers in China. Born in a family of artists, Maleonn started as a creative director in the advertising industry, who later decided to follow his true calling as an artist 8 years ago. He often describes his art as an oniric work built like a poem "of the fragments of things without any logic", with dream like characters, random mix of old and new, and simply vivid imagination that life is like a theatre, and hidden stories untold. Maleonn has exhibited internationally and participated in critical showcase including Shanghai Biennale 2010 and Reshaping History, 2000-2009 Chinese New Art . This is his second solo exhibition in Singapore since 2005 at Jendela Gallery, Esplanade.
