Teppei Kaneuji’s artistic practice blends familiarity with the unexpected, delivering complexity and plurality of objects in the most tasteful and refreshing manner. Known for his assemblages, Kaneuji negotiates real and unreal spaces through the concept of ‘collage’, presenting an interaction of materials that transcend accustomed contexts, associations and values.
Endless, Nameless (Constructions) provokes the imagination and teases the mind through dynamic two and three-dimensional artworks in every colour, shape and form, reflecting Kaneuji’s joyous exploration of print methods at STPI and a development in his ongoing preoccupation with objects and reconstruction. Bearing his signature collage of Japanese manga illustrations and everyday items, these playful works are affordable, fun and endless in their visual and structural possibilities.
