Arario Gallery Seoul introduces Yan Heng (b.1982)’s first solo exhibition in Korea. Yan Heng, who is one of the most promising young artists in China introduces his figurative and narrative oil paintings in this exhibition. Coupling with his imagination, he visualizes inner desires, ironies and ceaseless conflicts of the contemporaries that have to survive in the fast-changing times.
Unlike other contemporary Chinese artists using various mediums, Yan Heng focuses on traditional Chinese painting, and sharply analyzes phenomenons that past and present of Chinese society left. His such analysis contains satire and agony on the current age, but suggests deep understanding of object and phenomenon as well as insight and intuition about truth with metaphorical symbols and detailed settings.
Getting recognition in artistry and marketability, Yan Heng's first solo exhibition in Korea will show his large scale new works and work on the wall in the exhibition space.
