Alexander Zhernokluev inclines towards an intensive, relentless search for reformulating avant-garde ideas into the context of modern visuals. He refers back to the history of painting and intitates analysis of other artists’ expressions, styles and themes. He creates his own themes in series in which he communicates between traditional and modern Realist painting.
Art takes over reality in his art, in aspects like representing humans as a texture among other objects or the human body as it is related socially to others.
His works are present in collections of the National Ukraine Art Museum (Kiev), Museum of Contemporary Art (Belgrade), History and Religion Museum in Kiev-Pechersk Lavra (Kiev), Alexander Grin Museum (Feodosia) and Russian Culture Federation (Moscow).
