Ruben Pang describes his paintings as projections of his psyche, reflecting on notions of prospect, arrival, and transformation. With no preconceived notion of how the painting should look like at its inception, Pang’s process of creating evolves and gradually builds up with each brushstroke added to the canvas.
Through his use of colour and the techniques he employs, Pang aims to create a feeling of dynamism within the medium as well as exploring the boundaries of colour, shape and transparency.
