Chan Hampe Galleries will play host to international duo KA’a’s solo exhibition titled “OUT in the STREETS”, which will be held from 21st February till 11th March.
The show presents a blunt view of Singapore with a focus on the city's backstreets & unassuming characters. KA'a's eye for composition and bold images enables an atypical view of familiar and unheralded facets of Singapore and beyond.
KA'a is the collaboration of Kirsty Furniss and Mathieu Augereau, international aerosol and stencil artists from the street art movement. Their work has a distinct identity and a unique style that has gained them international exhibitions and aroused collectors' interest, most recently in Australia and Malaysia. Paintings are characterised by contrasting and engagingly detailed stencils of people and scenes in a dynamic composition. Focus is placed on a mix of aerosol colour and texture work in combination with additional mediums and layered stencils. The result is a fresh and distinguishing style.
