KA'a is the collaboration of Kirsty Furniss and Mathieu Augereau, international aerosol and stencil artists from the street art movement.
Kirsty Furniss – Anglo-Irish, born in Morocco and having lived most of her life in Singapore, Kirsty graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts from Melbourne University, majoring in anthropology and development studies. This specialisation, coupled with her immersion in the stencil capital of Melbourne, greatly influenced her art and the subject matter explored. Since 2004, Kirsty has been a professional artist based in France. She has focused on, and become versed in stencils & aerosols painting as well as the interface between street art and fine art.
Mathieu Augereau - Born and raised in France, Mathieu completed an applied arts degree in 2000 followed by Fine arts degree at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Lyon, France. Since then he has concentrated on contemporary art and street art, specialising in colour, texture and stencil work, creating his own defined use of the aerosol can as his principal medium.
