Lee Gilbert shows his recent series of process-based oils at Pietrasanta Restaurant, at the corner of Portsdown and Whitchurch Roads in Wessex Estate.
NOTE: A mirage is a real optical phenomenon- refracted light rays form a false image, seen at the observer's location. What the image appears to represent, however, is determined by the interpretive faculties of the human mind.
Lee Gilbert explores his theme in a semi-abstract style, drawing on the properties of the materials -acrylic, oil, and enamel on canvas- to capture complex interactions among the minimalist elements of the subject.
You are invited to view these works while enjoying fine Tuscan cuisine at this family-owned and operated restaurant in historic Wessex Village Square, at the corner of Portsdown and Whitchurch Roads. Call ahead (6479 9521) for reservations- this is a very popular weekend spot!
