'Eclectic' brings together three highly individualistic artists, Rene Robles, Jinggoy Buensuceso and Pete Jimenez Jimenez focuses on the concept of making 'open' type sculptures as opposed to the classic 'closed' type three -dimensional sculptures. Through his work we look at sculptures from a different light and the possibilities of what sculptures could be. His sculptures are distinguished not only for their wit and humor but also for their imaginative articulation of the material:iron Collaborating for the first time, acclaimed artist Rene Robles and sculptor/furniture designer Jinggoy Buensuceso present sculptures jointly made in a style they called Fusion. For his part, Buensuceso uses metal shaped to his desired form, a process he liken to 'Play'. Robles then steps in and assert his part on the sculpture by imposing his iconography and colours on the sculpture by way of painting. Their work combine sculpture and painting and aims to unify two artistic styles - figurative and the abstract. The concept of their art here is a Meeting of Minds - the artwork depicts Buensuceso's entry into the creative mind and world of mentor Rene Robles and his creation of a playground that invites Robles to play and assert.
