ONE Photography Convention is a pioneer convention uniting established professionals and aspiring photographers towards a singular goal: the perfection of the craft in medium and large sensor photography. ONE Photography Convention aims to be a powerful platform for existing professional photographers to showcase their new personal works based on the ‘ONE’ theme (an acronym for ‘Our Need to Express’) and for aspiring photographers to launch their careers through adapting industry practices and workflow systems.

Works of professional photographers can be seen everywhere – in magazines and newspapers, on billboards, and in many other commercial media, often promoting a product or service. One rarely gets a glimpse of the personal side of these photographers in the works that they have done independently, expressing thoughts and ideas intimate to them.

The ONE Exhibition aims to showcase new personal works of 28 photographers created around the theme ‘ONE’. These photographers (including Geoff Ang, Daniel Zheng, K C Lee, Veronica Tay and Shannon Castlemann), artists in their own right, were given full freedom in their interpretation of the theme to produce fresh and contemporary works.
